Its fucking amazing. I've been going thru a bit of a change in the way I'm listening to the Beatles these days. when I was in my teens and most of my 20's, I didn't really feel Beatles music. I was really into the Stones. But in the past few years with the "Love" soundtrack and "Across The Universe" I've been hearing their music and words in a totally different way. anyway, "across the Universe has this great version of "dear Prudence" that puts the "trip" in trip hop.

If you think that whole album can't be as snappy as "Young Folks" well you'd be wrong.
Spinning CD's
I dunno what it is about switching formats (I mean the mechanics of it is still the same...) but there's something thats re-invigorated my approach to the decks. maybe it has something to do with not having to lug around a 50 lb record box. Or when your spinning at Qool and Kevin Knapp goes "fucking hell! I've been searching for this track for *days*! What is it?" just handing the disc over to him. thats pretty cool.
Riding my bike to work
Two Wheels good! Four Wheels bad! And I still don't miss gears. Contrary to the prevailing ideas, you only need one speed. It makes you a better climber and your quads, gluts and calves will thank you too.
And of course my beautiful Splinter. She will always and continually inspire me. She's kinda like Salma Hyek in "Dogma." -

I've said it before but perhaps now ya'll can feel me. foe me it has been The funk laden, tech nasty, sometimes minimal, gorilla esque, DARK beats that just insist on quieting the rest of the world's noises (in my humble opinion of course). I strongly suggest you kids that have not yet experiened the ill-ness, to get yourself down to 222 club (or some dope ass space similarly fashioned) for a proper basement style techno, (but with the funk that makes you breaks kids think its breaks) gnarly good time.
Everything AURALISM and Kontrol's Alland are doing production wise has been keeping me just permanently twisted.
